This little darling ended up in my garage temporarily due to hopefully minor mechanical problems, 1958 Giulietta Sprint. No doubt you will all see a lot more of this car.

That`s gorgeous Hans-Peter-I`ve got a model of one exactly the same colour. Who`s the lucky owner?
By the way for those of us no longer associated with the Alfa Club how did the AGM go and what ,if any, executive changes? Any major changes or issues come up?

I`ve just forgot that I also have a copy of the Giulietta book by Evan Wilson (personally signed by Evan) that is to go to the club as a reference sample. If you are into or have a Giulietta you need this latest revision of his earlier book which has even more information, tips and data.

Its Bruce and Bridget Stewart's , absolutely gorgeous.
AGM was a success, good people, good weather, good selection of cars, everybody happy, next AGM is Queenstown.
Carol Nicol from here is taking over as secretary, otherwise no change, racing and the Trofeo Series still seems to be a contentious issue but even though I am a Trofeo entrant I don't really understand the whole story and really don't want to.

Aw come on Hans, fess up! You sabotaged it so you could spend the night with it didn't you?!

Great weekend though, and we had a pretty good run home, 4-1/2 hours from Napier to West Auckland. The old Alfetta managed to keep up with a few Targa guys.

Thanks again for the race pads Hans. Its unlikely I'll have the opportunity to use them before next May Madness though. I did consider taking the Alfetta down for that but really, it's way too nice to take on the track.

Queenstown next year should be fun. On the way home the good lady and I were dicussing how to plan out a decent trip and do a "giro del sud dell'isola", and how long to take off work. Something to plan out.

Yeah...see quite a few club members commuting :D

That GTJ looks like a dogs breakfast. I saw it in Newmarket just after it first went on sale... I think the owner's a bit deluded...$20K Lira maybe!!
Hey, just stumbled on this section of the bb. This must be the car I'm presently restoring! Anyone still have the link to the TradeMe listing cause I'd be interested to have it to add to the history if the listing detail was still there. You want to see how the car is looking now! I'll put some pics up sometime.

Here are some pics. The car looked awful with the horrible flat centred steel wheels it had on when I bought it but it looked a whole lot better after a good clean and with a set of refurbished original steel wheels.

Engine bay sandblasted and painted and now the body is getting panelbeating attention. The car started out as a 1300 Junior with single headlights so it's going to return to single headlights - the original headlight mounts and wider side grill pieces were in the car! They have all been lost along with the grill heart but that's another story! I've been able to replace those though which was a relief. Car has gone from beige to red to black and now to red again.

Alfas at Mt Lyford Lodge

Great weekend driving/socialising/sightseeing around the Hurunui region north of Christchurch. Attached pic from My Lyford Lodge shows a very diverse line up of Alfas from 1930 to 2012 - no two alike!

Alfetta GTV Turbo

Saw a beautiful, red Alfetta GTV Turbo in Geraldine today. I think it was 1980. Didn't have my camera to take a photo unfortunately.
Anyone know it?

Most likely belongs to John and Ailsa Cornelius who recently moved to Geraldine. I think it's a Bell&Colville turbo conversion - it's a lovely car. John has been President of AROCNZ.

I may have been dreaming but I'm pretty sure I saw a Red SZ driving into Cambridge last Saturday morning. Are there any on the road here? I have seen a couple in Europe many years ago, they still look as striking as ever.

One was imported a year or so back. A stunning car to see in the flesh and very under-rated handling wise. Phenomenal grip.

Apart from the NZ SZ the only other I've seen was a yellow RZ parked outside Monaco casino. Not as impressive given all the other cars that were also parked there!
