The annual Italian Car Fest is coming up on September 10th in Grapevine Texas. For orientation purposes, Grapevine is a cool little town with good bars and restaurants about 15 minutes from the DFW airport.

The show is always a good one and includes "The Italian Connection" class for cars designed by Italians or using Italian engines etc. This class brings in some very interesting cars -a BMW M1 and a Maserati engined Citroen SM, a Pininfarian styled Rolls and others.

Entry is only $35; but you have to register in advance for two reasons: no entries are permitted on the day of the show and the historic and pretty Nash Farm where the event is held limits the number of cars to 80.

Oh and naturally good Italian sausage sandwiches and Italian beer are available.....

I'm in. Bringing the 164. Val will be there with his AROC national award winner Junior Zagato along with his other high profile cars. Thank you for posting this. It is the highlight of the year as far as I am concerned.

Cheers!

Looks like there will be a dozen or so Lambo's, including a 71 Miura, a 100 point Alfa TZ, a new Fiat Spider, at least one Alfa 4C, and a beautiful Montreal among the cars registered so far. Both a Ferrari dealer and a Lamborghini dealer will have cars there too. Definitely a great day trip!

I would love to attend this event, but driving from outside of Houston to Ft Worth would not be Alfa friendly. I had to attend a training in Ft. Worth right across from the Speedway a few months ago and it was a terrible rain trying to get there. Also there were spots on Interstate 45 that were narrowed down to one lane South of Dallas with horrible traffic. LOL. There is no way I could make it. It would be a perfect place for me to try to sell my 1985 Spider. Looks like a fun event and I hope it does not rain. Paul
