Wanted to pass this on, its a great event!

Italian Cars to be Corralled at

Lime Rock on Labor Day – Monday, September 3rd

For the 14th year in a row, the Northeast Coast Chapter of Fiat Lancia Unlimited will sponsor the Italian Car Corral at the 25th annual Vintage Festival of Lime Rock Race Track in northwestern Connecticut on Monday, September 3, 2007.

The Italian Car Corral attracts 60 - 100 Italian cars of all marques. To participate in the Corral, Italian car owners must buy discounted tickets ($32.50) to the Vintage Festival through the Lime Rock Park using the special discount Affiliate ID # and password provided below. Your ticket to the Vintage Festival will be stamped “Italian Car Corral” which will admit you to the corral area for free parking. There is no extra charge for registering for the Corral. Italian car owners upon presentation of the discounted “Italian Car Corral” tickets will receive a goody bag valued at more than $35 which includes an event program, poster, an event cap and a Lime Rock 50th anniversary pin. Best of all, the owners of Italian cars who purchase tickets using the discount codes will be admitted on the track for a couple parade laps to wow the crowd at Lime Rock.

While most of the Italian cars participating in the corral hail from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, for the past four years, the long distance entry has come from Joe Bracca of Nova Scotia.. Joe has driven to the Italian Car corral in a Fiat 124 Coupe and a Lancia Delta Integral, which is very rare in the States.

To obtain your tickets on-line, go to the Lime Rock web site:

http://www.limerock.com/store/login.php?m=login_extra

Enter the following codes:

Affiliate ID# 252

Password IT2007 (IN UPPERCASE LETTERS)

The Monday ticket is $32.50 and you can either have your ticket mailed to you or you can print your ticket from home. Alternatively, for an extra fee, you can have your ticket Fed Ex’d to you.

It is critically important that you purchase your tickets through Lime Rock using these codes. We must sell at least 25 tickets in order to qualify to have a corral area for Italian cars. The Track will keep me informed of or progress in ticket sales. The parade laps on the track are limited to a number of car corrals, so we must be among the first to meet the threshold of selling 25 tickets. Deadlines: August 20th for mailed tickets and

August 24th for tickets printed from home.

If you do not have access to the internet, you can buy your Italian Car Corral discounted tickets to the Vintage Festival by calling the track group sales office at 800-435-5000 ext 306 and using the codes above.

Ryan,

I would call Limerock direct to see if you can change your tickets. They may have you trade them at the "Will Call" window.

BTW.....Anyone know how many folks have purchased tickets??

Well, it was a toss up at first--Lime Rock or the Glen on the following week. A conflict has come up for the weekend at the Glen, so we'll definitely be at LR. See everyone there!

With the Dino? I love those cars...
Well, that depends on if my front suspension gets taken care of in time. The bushings were destroyed at an Alfa club autocross earlier this summer. I have aquired all needed bushings--hopefully it will get done over this weekend!

We're going ...

We got (3) tickets and are planning to be there!

We are making a trip to Rochester, NY this weekend ("back to school" for our younger son) so we decided to fit this event in on our way back.

Here're some questions:
1. The tickets say 7am. I assume this will be when the gate open. For those who had been there before, what would you say might be a good time to arrive there? As early as possible (like close to 7am) or can we get there a little bit later without missing much?
2. I assume we should go there in an Italian car and not in our minivan (that we usually use for our long trips) in order to park in the area reserved for the "Italian Car Corral", right? :D:D:D
3. What time is the parade lap(s)?
4. Any other suggestion for first time goers?

Thanks,
Bob C

Lime Rock Vintage Festival

Hey guys-
I was looking to ask a favor for anyone who is planning on going on Monday and parking in the Italian Car Corral....
As some of you know, I am looking to sell my GTV6 3.0 track car. I can only make it on Saturday so.....
Would anyone going be willing to put some "for sale" flyers on their car/windshield for me?
I could send an electronic file to be printed out (maybe 10-20 copies??)

Racing doesn't start anywhere near that early. A non-Alfa van would be out of place with the other Italians. Last year the parade laps were around non, if I remember correctly. Bring food, beverages, seating (or blankets), sunblock, cameras, sense of humor.

If I remember from last year, LRP wants us there before 10:00AM to assure parking allowances....otherwise they begin to use the allotted parking area for lesser vehicles. I do not have Tim Beeble's email to confirm Monday's requirements (John P??).

Laps are sometime during the lunch break which is 11:00 to 1:00PM. Morning warm-ups start at 9:00AM with racing from 1:00PM. The last race starts around 4:30PM.

I'm gonna print out a page from the Alfa bb and put the green/red header part on my windshield while my car is parked in the corral. Any one else?

I'd be willing to drive it there for you:) You must understand that this would be a great personal sacrifice since I'd either have to leave my GTV behind or have my wife drive it:(
