Hmmmm. "Can be picked up in Champlain NY." So, coming from Canada. Are these legal to register in the U.S.? I didn't think so.

Legal or not, there are several floating around in the States. Have seen a licensed one myself a few years ago.

Some of the early 1996's had U.S. spec EPA plates riveted in the door jamb and they also have a U.S. spec vin number. Most of those went to Canada when Fiat pulled the plug. So technically you can get them registered here in the U.S. But I would try it in California.

Ad mentions it is delivered with a Canadian title. I thought there was a 25 year rule for the US?

2015 - 1996 = 19. Still, it appears some have evidence of US acceptability. I recall one or more being offered without the U.S. Conformance placards, and cancelled sales as a result. I wonder if the titling state and/or federal folks would rely upon the placards or some master "approved" list that may not contain this car?
