I got new LED's to replace the dim bulbs in my dash gauges and I tried to reach up behind the gauges but I couldn't get up there. Has anyone attempted to swap out the dash bulbs without having to remove the whole dash? I've read the dash is fairly easy to remove but I'd rather not attempt that because every time I've opened up or removed something I've run into some sort of issue because old car 😅

I could on my Junior, which should have the same dash I think? I'll admit it was not the most comfortable job...

The gauge cluster has one screw on each side. Remove those and the cluster can be pulled forward. Gives you enough room to get to the bulbs.

It´s possible. Even with bigger hands...
You have to try and find your way.
It´s quite tight and you´ll have to pay attention not to disconnect other connections there.
But you´ll make it.
