1993 alfa romeo 164s
receiving a call from my father (a mechanic) i suspected the worse he was 2 hours late and driving my 164s
he tells me he heard the same noise that he heard from his Mitsubishi Gallant when his timing belt broke
we go to his shop the next day
took off the valve cover and taking off the lower intake manifold when i hear what i thought where rocks but how could they get past the air filter i turn it over and pieces of a valve seat and valve (the long part)
i have never seen so much carnage and internal damage
i have yet to take heads off from peaking from the intake inlets on the head
i look on the side of the block and see the timing belt tensioner was missing the lever where it held the pressure of the oil anywho
i peak back inside and see the intake valve upside down logged in the head
from the pieces i saw part of the piston
wondering if i should invest in a used v6 3.0 and swap the cams
or if i should invest in refubished heads about and pistons , rings liners
ohh yeah i took was taking off the spark plugs all but the one with the valve logged in the head came out with out ease i left the plug there ill post pictures when i get the heads off
