Mine is a 1974 Spider Right Hand Drive edition. As the PO lost a lot of the seat components during an interior fitout project, I was wanting to put in some seats from a late 1980's model or Series 4 Spider. These have the seat belt guide on the back and additional lumber support under the legs.

Is there any issue in doing this or are modifications required to bolt the seat bases to the floor. Does anyone know if the seat rails are the same as the S2 model.

Has anyone attempted this and could a thick head like me attempt such a project.

I have seats from an S3 Veloce - about 1986, in my '79 S2 Spider. I just had to drill an extra hole in each bottom runner to line up the floor mountings.
