Hey all, hope everyone is in for a Happy New year!
I was playing around with my Alfa today and the car just didn’t want to run right. I had to hold the throttle to keep the car from stalling. Which is highly unusual, the car has been running great! I took it for a 130+ mile round trip on Christmas and it performed magnificently, and today was my first time to drive it since.
I poked around and finally figured out what had happened. The vacuum advance nipple had unscrewed itself and tossed itself into the wind, no where to be found. I had a rubber plug on it since I do not have a vacuum advance on my dizzy.
i taped the hole over with some duct tape (too large to be sucked in) and the car ran fine without question.
My question now is, what size of a bolt do I need to plug the hole now that the nipple is MIA?
I searched the BB with no luck. I have a spare SPICA manifold but the nipple on it looks to be a different size than the carb manifold.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
