I don't drive my L too much these days and usually leave it at pops house for his back up but today I was driving it and noticed an odd sound. When I touch the clutch (lightly or other wise) there's a whirring sound that goes away completly when the clutch is let out. It occurs in every gear but when released it is gone. I'm thinking it's the input bearing??!! Thoughts??!!

Sounds more like a clutch throw out bearing to me.

Input bearing does it's thing more in low and second under power and then subsides in 3-4-5 until things get out of hand.

Thanks Steve, that is one of THE ONLY things I have not changed in the last two years in this car. I'll check it out.
