Just confirming what I think I found throughout the internet: can my 1986 GTV6 use Milano inner tie rod ends? I think I just need to remove the steering damper.

I used Milano ends on my '84 GTV6. Worked fine, new boots matched up fine. Grease them up good.

One more thing. My steering damper was not functional at all. Zero dampening = useless, so I didn't re-install it. But you do have to re-use it's oblong mounting bracket/plate.
You may want to check yours.

As OSIDEDM says: you can use Milano inner tie rod no problem.

You can also discard all the steering damper and parts IF you source and install a longer steering boot on the passenger side. I've done this several times, no problem. Otherwise you can keep the parts as stated to re-use the unusual boot. A Milano boot fits, but its a stretch. I used a shock absorber dust boot most lately and it was a nice fit. O'Reilly supplied - it was a fairly generic part.
