I have too much stuff! Not enough space to keep it all. I need some space and can use some $$$! I am located between Auburn and Grass Valley but will come to The Bay on occasion. Next trip less than two weeks away. Can deliver anything heavy to Fantasy Junction or perhaps elsewhere.

A bonus with this first book are two sales sheets tucked inside. One is a double-sided sheet offering the Alpino 125 Turismo & 125 Sport and another offers the Hirundo 150.

Note that there is a pdf document below that shows more than the cover image.

Storia Illustrata del Motociclismo in Italia

This is a rare three-volume history of the "Federazione Motociclistica Italana" from its inception through 1960. The dust jackets are not perfect but they remain lovely to behold. There's a lot of political coverage inside but also a phenomenal overview of Italian motorcycle race coverage. Alfa Romeo racers and owners figure prominently during early time periods with Gianni Lurani, Tazio Nuvolari, Luigi Plate', Achille Varzi coming to mind easily. There are many others.

The Italian Car Registry, 1994

My 1994 progress report on my studies of individual Italian car chassis numbers. Roughly 16,000 cars described inadequately. There is an unauthorized reprint available in Italy $80 to $120 depending on the exchange rate and the location of the sale), but the original tri-colore cover originals (each given its own number) have been out of print since 1997. I found this copy hidden away in a box not opened since before I last moved it more than ten years ago. This is number 19 of approximately 820 that were printed. I'd ordered 750 and there was a 10% over-run/under-run clause in the contract that the printer used to their advantage.

P.S. The Italian book-seller who is doing the unauthorized reprints will not receive any kind of distributor discount for my future edition(s) that are at least two years away.

The Registry of Italian Oddities

May 1990, precursor to "The Italian Car Registry"

This is the "double-die-obverse" of my limited publishing career. The book was perfect bound on the wrong side and the cover was attached upside down. So, it reads backwards while the cover is upside down. I used it for taking notes while preparing a version that was only a slight revision from this one. This copy has lots of penned notes inside. It also has a Borrani wheel application list that I quickly found was being used by wheel vendors at swap meets in Italy so that they would know that their wheels were applicable to ... and could charge me more for them as a result. Shot myself in the foot with that one! I removed the Borrani wheel listing from the revised version.

The Registry of Italian Oddities - 5th Edition Revised

December 1990, a more immediate predecessor of "The Italian Car Registry". Some additions and corrections were made but the biggest change was the removal of the Borrani wheel application list. And, I raised the price from the previous version. There were no reported printing/binding errors in this run.

l'Automobilismo Italiano (1968)

More than 1000 pages covering much of the Italian transport industry offerings (and contact information) of 1968. There is even the "Codice della Strada" (road codes) in effect at the time. The pdf file here shows a small part of the Alfa Romeo related material.

Tucked into the book is this positive transparency image of a buggy that is not labelled.
