I saw a kit car some years ago, that was built from a 33 1.7, and it was rear engined and looked like a mini Alfa 33 sports racer, I have been trying for years to get some info on this, it looks interesting, I think it was English, but not sure.

The car that you are thinking of is probably the Sirius Racer developed by Adelaide (SA) Alfa guru Lloyd Clonan. It was originally fitted with various 1.5 and 1.7L engines with a supercharger and single suck through carburetor. After few too many detonations and rebuilds he shelved it, until his young assistant got hold of it. It now has a supercharged 1.5L engine again but this time with an ECU and water injection. It's still a work in progress, I'm not sure if they have had time to continue with it lately...

Kaboom - can you post pictures - are you still on the BB?!

Thought it was English

But you never know, I would like some pics and info on this project, my thought was it would make a great classic racer, light, low centre of G, there are a lot of them over here, and gearbox is already attached, and while not the best, it does have a lot going for the package, but rather than reinvent the wheel, I would like to see just how some else has attacked it.
