Do you have a multimeter?
Do you have a multimeter?
If so, check if you have 12VDC at the lightbulb socket.
(when the turnsignal is switched on of course)
If you do not have 12Volt DC (at the rythem of the turnsignal) move the black lead of the multimeter to a known good ground (a non rusted bolt, engine block, etc..)
Keep the red lead inside the lightbulb socket (bottom pin)
If the multimeter reads 12VDC, you just proved you had a bad ground.
Another way to check the ground is to switch OFF the turnsignal.
Switch your multimeter to OHMS (do not measure OHMS when there is power on the terminals!!!)
Switch to the smalest scale.
Put one lead of the multimeter to the ground terminal of the bulb-socket.
Put the other lead to a known GOOD ground.
You should read almost ZERO Ohms.
Good Luck
