Hi;

Has anyone here experience importing from the U.S. to Canada - especially
by shipping? Any personal experience would be helpful. (I have found all the
basic "riv" docs online I believe).

any info appreciated, thanks

Canada

I'm assuming you meant exporting into Canada. I sent one just this week. Used TFX International (416 243-8531) as not all shipping companies cross the border. These guys will let you know exactly what documents are required, etc. Normally the original title to the vehicle has to be in the car before it can cross the border along with a bill of sale. Are you selling the car to someone up there or are you just moving it? Customs fees will be assessed as well.

Hi;

Thanks for the info and ph#. Ya, have to have title, bill of sale, and I think
I think inform U.S. customs 72 hrs ahead. And, ya, then pay customs and
GST.

Oh, and I do mean importing since I'm in Canada. :)

thanks

Thanks. And since you were so polite, I'll give myself the "search before you ask" public scolding. Actually I did search a little but obviously didn't get use the right key words.

Good info there.
