A couple of years ago at the French Italian Car Show in Los Angeles, I spoke with a gentleman who had a Canadian imported 916 Spider via Vermont.

I would like to know what the process is to get one into the US as I saw a 916 3.0 spider for sale some time back. There are several 916 spiders in the US.

Who is the company that puts the stickers on the car that it meets the federal standards?

Anyone has been down this path and what had to be done?

I moved from the Netherlands to the USA in 2015 (Williams AZ, close to your area ?).
I owned 8 alfas and had to sell most of them, immigration is expensive.
My 1981 Spider is here with me and I was lucky to find a decent and not to expensive GTV6 not long ago.
Everything from 25 years and older you can import yourself without any problem. The people at the DMV don't know the rules, I had to go back 6 times !!
You need to have everything translated by a certificated translator (on-line), paperwork from the port of entry, export papers and something like a bill of sale helps to.
I do understand that out of Canada this is 15 year.
If so, I'm going to try to get a 166 3.2 V6 24v over Canada to the USA !!
