It would insult a redneck to think a Californian aspired to their ranks. We generally believe a redneck moving from Mississippi to California improves the average IQ of both states.

'sides, a redneck woulda used small tomato paste cans as they are heavier metal and almost perfect diameter :)
Dude! I was just gonna say!
And they work to plug holes in a transaxle when used along with some liquid steel.

i am running 1150 ich/lbx now.. i made the mistake of getting 'stated rate springs' the front springs are inboard about 40% from the outer lower ball joint. so a 750"/lns spring ,on the alfa would really be,300"/lbs.. with 1150"/lbs , they are on the car.460"/lbs. the spring are also 9.5" tall... i have been driving it this way now for about 7/8 months now.. no bottoming out.. for the spring rate settings go to qa1 shocks.. there is a page ther on how to find act. spring rate on the car.

redneck repair

You got to get rid of those fancy German clamps and get some good baling wire, a wire coat hanger, or even a boot lace or two.

This repair will last way to long if you use things like German clamps, what were you thinking? :D

Ha! I remember back in the late Sixties seeing a Big Healey parked by the curb with about 4 beer cans where the stock mufflers went!

I found the soda cans nowadays to be too thin, so I used a stainless steel coffee cup instead. When the muffler shop was rewelding my system, the shop owner asked if I wanted the clamps and cup back. He said you could probably reuse them for something. I said yup, have to put the clamps back on the water pipes I stole them from. I was already planning to use the stainless for part of a heat shield, after I get around to polishing it up a bit.

That's nothing, back in 'Nam, I once custom fabricated an entire set of, equal length, long tube, headers, using nothing but an crusty old Hookah, three Jewish prostitutes and some badger scrotum...

Okay, so that's not even remotely true, but I just wanted to fit in the rest of you rednecks.:D

Nope, definitely not redneck. A true redneck would knock holes in his exhaust on purpose and certainly wouldn't repair them. Boy howdy, Cletus, I betchergot 'nother 50 horsepahr...
