I have a 1967 GTV fitted with a 2L alfetta motor.I have recently done some work on the dyno (diff chokes<emulsion tubes, mains)The runs awesome but now when the car is on a up hill idling the idle speed increases and when down hill the idle speed decreases. The linkage is not the problem, could it be the one way valve for the booster?Float levels??Some one even suggested fuel pump problems. Why has this never been a problem before

Part of your message didn't post. I'm guessing you are asking what idle you should set the carbs at. I'd say 750-950 rpm. I like low idle speeds, some people like higher ones.

Idle speed goes up when up hill, idle speed goes down when down hill. The linkage and idle speed screw is not the problem on the flat idle is spot on.
