I was using the hardware store faucet seals as a substitute for the idle adjustment o-ring on my S3. Unfortunately they are made of EPDM, which compression-sets drastically when heated. I had to keep changing them out, which is very annoying.

After a search I managed to find some silicone o-rings that are about the right size at a local hydraulic supply place. They had Viton/FKP in their catalogue too, but I would have had to wait.

$0.30 each over the counter. I was able to adjust the idle properly. Hopefully they will do better than the thermoplastic plumbing seals.

Look up these specialized industrial supply places near you. They are gold mines.

I have a bunch of spares. If anyone wants one PM me I'll mail you one.
