Some have asked about the idle control O ring and substituting o rings you my find at local hardware stores. I had no luck finding one locally but I did find the extra I bought when I sourced some OE rings last year. Here is a pic of one of the original "donuts", just for those curious....

It is the odd thickness of the rubber that was hard to find. Since it is only subjected to air flow I am not sure if I would worry about chemical deterioration, if you could find one that worked. Many have said they found ones that worked well, I could not. I just figured if anyone wanted to see what the donut REALLY looked like I would post a pic.

These are for the 1750 Spica idle air controller. The engine was a bit on the rich side and needed the this to bring the idle down to where it is supposed to be.
The 69 Spica had 2 air controllers on the air filter box, but I don't remember what they used inside.

When the 2 liters came out they did away with the rubber O ring.

Thanks for posting the pic, skibum! I think a few, including myself, thought that it was supposed to have that flying saucer shape that the old hard one's get. It's just an Oring that compresses to restrict airflow.

You're welcome. Seems to be a lot of mystery about that darn o ring. I tried many, got frustrated because I couldn't find one that worked so I just called around until I did....
