Can I confirm that a pair of cams I pulled are definitely S cams either by the engine number or the markings on the camshafts? I just want to make sure before I go to the trouble of installing them.

Thanks.

An 'S' engine will be stamped with "AR64301 engine #" at the block below the distributor. 164L and B engines are stamped "AR06412 engine #"

On the cams, you won't be able to tell S from B/L based on any markings or casting numbers on the cams. Only way to tell for sure is to measure the lobes.

While a used S engine is almost guaranteed of having S cams, if the history of the engine is unknown, there's always the slight possibility that heads have been swapped in the past - best to verify cam lobes if you want to be 100% sure.

Thanks so much, guys, I think I have the S cams. All things point to that.
Does anyone know the measurement of the total intake lobe? That is, including the base circle. It's tough to measure just the lift with simple calipers.

Now the tough question: how much power/feel will I gain on my 2.5 with these cams? I know not much but will I feel a difference?
