On almost all my autos when I remove the oil filler cap the engine speed stays the same except for my 164l. When I remove the cap the engine slows down quite a bit and just bearly ides. I know of course the cap is normally on
but is this telling me something that is not registering? Would think that the intake would compensate with the little extra air through the oil seperator.

You are inducing false air after air flow meter. Even pulling dip stick will make idle change. Don't do that you are creating an air leak and idle actuator and AFM not going to compensate for it.

Thank You

Thanks Steve. Just never saw this on my other cars.
I have been trying to find Rear Control arms upper and lower.
I never thought that with the sad Alfa's that pass on to Alfa Heaven that there would not be some around for sale.

Thanks Steve for the info.

Doesn't Difatta have them? We got some for Myron's there. Can't you straighten your old ones?

Not for Me

The Control arms are for a friend who has 3 164' s he is restoring.
One was a salvage. It was up to the door bottoms in fresh water.
When it was moved at the salvage yard they used a fork lift up the rear
and not much more can be said. Just trying to find some and then help him for he sold me a bunch of spares for my 164L reasonable so wanted to help.
Just trying to find contacts.

Thank You
