I have several cylinder heads that I want to know what they are from.
I want to rebuild one to tuned spec for my 2000.
One of them I believe is a 1600 head from a Duetto.
Is the head from the Duetto different?
I was told it was original and has never been skimmed, what should the deck height be?

Eric, hadn't seen that particular IAP page, great!
Key, Height is 4.410 inches for both 1600 & 2000 cylinder heads.
There are geometric symbols on the front of the heads. The 1600 head has a square, about 5/8 in. The 1750 has variations of inverted triangles, depending on series. The 2000 will have a square with a diagonal line running top right to bottom left. These symbols may have a circle around them. Happen to have all three in the garage at one time.
Good luck

Heads

Cool...
So I have 2 Spica 2000 heads!
Thats good for me!
But, the other one is a mystery!
Actually Papajam... I think I asked you by PM before, but we never got it resolved...
The other head which I was told was a 1600 Duetto head does not have the cast symbol like in the diagram...
Cast in the front is the part number 10500-01500-00 and directly above it is a small cast circle with a smaller circle within it...
Here is a pic.

Any ideas???

:::::EDIT::::: Ok, the spot of dirt in the pic above was bugging me, so I went and scrubbed it....
Its not a circle the inner one... it has two nubs to the right... it almost looks like a @.. you can just make it out in the pic... is that odd?

Well, I looked through a half dozen or so 105 parts manuals and supplements and did not see 105.00.01.500.00 listed in the numerical indexes (but I don't have every parts manual either). Nor was it on the part number interchange list. However, measuring the valve diameters will determine if it's a 1300, 1600/1750 or a 2l.
1300 - intake=37mm - exhaust=34mm
1600/1750 - intake=41 - exhaust=37
2000 - intake=44 - exhaust=40

Couldnt find a metric rule here for the life of me tonight, but...
Inlets look like 1 5/8" or 41mm
and Exhausts look like 1 1/2" or 38mm...
Thats close enough to a 1600/1750 head.
The cams in the head are these....
Inlet cam looks like # 105020320001

Exhaust cam also looks like # 105020320001

So, it looks like a 1600 head.
The PO, said it came off a 67 Duetto with webers... just want to be sure.
