What, we don't have enough rust here......
No need to import more from New York....;^)
There are plenty of California 164s to bleed you dry.

Never buy a car from a state that puts salt on the roads. You'll find out why the 1st time you try to remove a nut or bolt.

Reasons to stay away:
1. ugly bling bling wheels
2. seller doesn't know the difference between a timing chain and a timing belt
3. advertised as having 12,000 miles on it, which is a false
4. too high priced
5. comes from the rust belt
6. not enough info given by the seller on the mechnicals
I could go on, but I think that's enough :p

Thanks guys! I agree with all of it! I asked the seller for some details but didn't get any answers right away which is a big turnoff for me. I need to find one here in SoCal and see what it feels like. I am looking for a little more fun in my regular driver and hear that these cars can do it if cared for properly. Thanks everyone you came through just as I hoped you would!

Yea, there are a few for sale locally from time to time. Try to find a well maintained one.
For not too much more money, you might get a much better car.
You might check with Stewart @ Alfa Performance Conection. I've seen a few for sale at his shop and he can tell you the true condition.

Hey guys does anyone know this car or this seller?

Alfa Romeo - eBay (item 140514486077 end time Feb-26-11 11:54:38 PST)

Nothing is mentioned about the body, rust, repaint, etc.

Should I get that far can anyone suggest someone for a paid PPI?

Or better yet everyone start talking me out of it! Please!!!
Keep looking. There are plenty in CA. Too high priced. It's an early one too and IMO if you can, find a 1992 or 1993. The wheels to me do not compliment the car and tell me that most likely the car was probably not well taken care of (seen this before with bling wheeled 164s, usually no maintenance really done) No list of whats wrong, what has been done, Grammar errors, etc...He mentions he got both front seats done? Look originally worn to me? I suspect a young kid owns this.
Not enough pictures or info. I would say the car is worth no more than $2K
