I have appointments to look at two different 147s tomorrow in Ukraine. Both are 4 doors with manual transmissions. Both are advertised as 1.9 turbo diesels. How can I tell whether they are rated at 120, 150 or 170hp?

I have the VIN for both. Can I tell by that? What else can I look for?

It appears that it could be useful but I tried it on two different computers with safari and chrome and it would not accept either VIN. It just does nothing when I select the next button after entering the VIN

probably wrong way entered vin number or then eper version which doesnt work. I have used eper with my 156 vin many years ago with no problems. Double check that you enter the vin correctly, you can maybe try this site also https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en

Thanks. I've reached the conclusion that the answer can be found in the engine code. I.e., 973 A5.000 in a JTDM is rated at 150hp, which is the engine number listed on the aluminum plate of the car i drove yesterday. I'm hoping the one I drive tomorrow is 973 A6.000 indicating 170hp
