I am in the midst of troubleshooting my brake lights, but can't quite figure out how to get the plunger switch off. I found a video on YouTube that shows a metal clip, but mine doesn't seem to have that. It looks like I need to back out a threaded plastic rod, but there is a black electrical connection attached. I will add a picture for reference. How do I take it off the pedal?

BTW, I just got this car and am so glad to find this forum!

remove the 2 wires. Loosen the plastic nut. Unscrew switch from bracket.

When you thread the new one in. Leave a little bit of space between the pedal and the switch housing.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't had a chance to work on the lights but got the part yesterday. Centerline came through with great customer service. :)
