Assuming you are referring to an '88 Spider, there isn't much inside the distributor. Basically the housing & the shaft. There are two bushings pressed into the housing which are then reamed to fit the bearing surfaces on the shaft. If your distributor does not wobble then I would leave it alone (other than giving a good cleaning & re-oiling the bushes. On re-assembly into the block replace the O-ring and call it good.
Make special note of the shop manual's instructions for fitting the oil pump & distributor drive into the front case. Avoiding any binding as they turn is vital for longevity of both.
If the shaft does wobble, then either find a replacement or see if you can find a machine shop that can press in new bushes and ream them to fit. Note that the bushes have to be reamed in line with the other. That might need a long reamer or some sort of jig to hold everything in line. If the machine shop gives you a quizical look when you ask about that - pick up your distributor and keep searching...
