Seems like the circlip on the end of the tie rod gets close enough to rub on the side of the rim under braking.
You can see a rub mark on about the 5 o'clock position on the rim in the picture.
I know most of the bushings in the front are tired. Is it ball joints that would cause this problem? Or a combination of worn out bushings in the front.
