MAF usually refers to the hot wire mass air flow systems. Bosch calls what you've got the AFM - Air Flow Meter.

Generally they shouldn't require any cleaning beyond a wipe out with a rag with maybe a little intake cleaner on it. You need to be careful as the air temperature sensor sticks out into one of the pipes and that's not something you want to damage. You also don't want to spray it out as you don't want any liquid leaking into the section with the variable resistor board.

Thanks Tom, should have checked first - yes, apparently the "vane" style vs. wire which makes sense - AFM is bagged while I paint cover. I'll do nothing more than clean connector's with elec contact cleaner and hope that all is well. 800 dollar Alfa picked up at a PNP, my first Italian car after many decades of German wrenching - should be fun.
