Guys - not sure where to post this one, so I decided to put in the general forum. You may recall I'm finishing the restoration on a cool 1962 OSCA 1600 GT Zagato and just launched a knowledge base website for these cars (O.S.C.A. 1600 GT - history, registry, restoration, technical information) for those interested.

I need a pair of hood strut/shocks for my car. Dimensions are:

* Diameter of tube = 20mm
* Diamter of extended shaft = 7mm
* Length of tube from one end to the middle of the mounting hole is 27cm
* Maximum length from hole to hole is 37,5mm

A fellow GTZ owner in Germany tells me he thinks these are a spring-type (not pneumatic, gas-type). Christian (OKP) says he doesn't have them.

I've included a picture from a car in Germany for reference on these struts.

They are a spring type, rather crude. The SZ had that one. I would go to your local Pep Boys or NAPA with specs and they have tons to choose from until you find (I doubt you will) the original type. A little gray paint and no one will know the difference ....except you of course.
