I am finishing the restoration on an early OSCA 1600 GT Zagato and need a pair of hood strut/shocks for my car. Dimensions are:

* Diameter of tube = 20mm
* Diamter of extended shaft = 7mm
* Length of tube from one end to the middle of the mounting hole is 27cm
* Maximum length from hole to hole is 37,5mm

A fellow GTZ owner in Germany tells me he thinks these are a spring-type (not pneumatic, gas-type). Christian (OKP) says he doesn't have them. A picture of the strut type is pictured from an other OSCA 1600 GTZ (below).

I've gotta believe the the early 1960's Lancia or Fiat models used something similar but I just don't know which model. Can anyone help?

Looks a bit like the central boot-lid strut for a Flavia Pininfarina coupe. Not sure of dimensions for that, but I have one in a box somewhere and could dig it out and check if you want.
