Hello everyone.

In tracking down and repairing a gas leak (which ended up being a crack in one of my intake sleeves), I found this. It looks to be a braided ground wire??? It is connected to the block under the intake on one end, but the other is hanging free.

Any ideas???

Braided wire

Looks like that could be the braided ground that grounds (or at least did) the motor to the chassis
