Recall plus 15 years ago making a phone enquiry with Highwood Alfa talking to Chris the owner for a mirror to suit my then GT1600Junior, supplied at one third of price of local supplier and on my door step within 3 business days.
A great shame if business closure not managed to reflect the years of good service.

Chris has stepped in to assist and he does answer the mails. Apparently he will be available mid Feb and will try and assist John to clean up. Would be grt if he took over again. Lets hope it gets revived

I believe I saw in an email a few days ago that Classic Alfa was taking over Highwood's 116 business. I asked them today, and they said they expect to have that part of their website up and running in 6-8 weeks. Good news!

I don't think it can necessarily be described as withered away, Chris had a good number of regular clients. So he would likely have sold the business, stock and goodwill at the point he wanted to exit the business to hopefully fund a long and happy retirement. For small business owners an exit strategy is often quite difficult so well done to him for achieving that. Businesss like that often have a lot of stock assets so hopefully he exchanged a big pile of AR parts for a smaller pile of cash.
