I was attmpting to adjust my steering box('86 Quad). I loosened the lock nut, but I cannot budge the adjustment screw. Any suggestions?

Bigger Screwdriver. Seriously.

Also pop the plastic cap near the big screw, and check for oil. Also you might jack up the front end, to take some pressure off the internals of the box...

Jclark,

Yea I had the front wheels off the ground and, checked the oil level, it was a little low so I topped it off. I had a lot of play in the wheel, then I put new tires on (Falken 912) Most of the play went away, but I still have a little @ 1". All tie rod ends appear to be good, so I thought I would attempt to adjust steering box, but cant turn adjuster.

Maybe try a 3/8" screwdriver socket fitting on a ratchet for more leverage, though if it's that stuck, something might be wrong inside.
