HELP ! Spider 1750 Won't Start

Need help on figuring out what has just gone wrong on my 1971 Spider 1750 (Spica Injection). It was running fine a week ago but refuses to start today. When you turn the ignition key, you can hear the fuel pump, and the engine turns over normally on the starter motor. It then just refuses to catch and start up normally. Any suggestions ? It does feel like it is not getting any gas as the exhaust is clear. I did a visual check on the gas tank visually and it is half full.

I don't know much about the SPICA FI system. I do know that most carburettor problems are electrical - have you checked for spark?

From the BB's main page scroll down to the Carbs & FI section for a couple of 'sticky' threads about the SPICA system. Maybe you'll find an answer in one of those.

Check for spark? If yes, spray some ether (starting fluid) into the air duct and give her a try, if that starts it up, you need to pay attention to the fuel delivery system (filter, injectors, etc...).
