Hi All,

Am about to make my very first Alfa purchase! Looking at a 1750 GTV. Would appreciate recommendations on Alfa specialists who can help me with a pre-purchase inspection check, esp if 105 model specialists.

Thanks!:smile2::smile2::smile2:

The main two Alfa repairers might be able to help - Autodelta in Malaga or Cileberti's in Osborne Park. Also, there is a guy Tony L. who used to have his own Alfa workshop who would be great and/or know who could help but not sure how to contact him now. Can give you his full name via PM if you want.

How exciting!

Either Autodelta in Malaga or Cileberti's in Osborne Park would do a good job. Autodelta did a pre-purchase inspection on my GTV 2000 back in 2009 - he picked up on a lot of small details that could have been easily missed.

My only advise would be to be very clear about the parameters of the inspection such as:

mechanical;
suspension;
electrical;
originality;
interier trim;
paint work - condition and originality of colour;
evidence of accident repair or non-original body work;
extent of rust - esp sills, rockers, floor pan and boot;
missing components;
modifications;
all components working from wipers to door locks etc;
Get the engine compression (wet/dry) tested also.

and ask for a report on all of these or write up your own report form and get them to fill it out.

Cars will also often have a history known to the Alfa community. Feel free to post details of the car here with pictures to get further input.

Good luck!
