Just finishing up a clutch replacement on a 91 164 B that I bought fix, clean up, and sell.

I noticed that the two hoses coming out of the fire wall are open and have been bypassed. Any thoughts as to why? Mine would be that the heater core is leaking. We're these known for corroded cores or anything like this?

I'll probably end up selling it like this and disclosing the condition to let the new owner deal with it.

Otherwise car is running great and I kept the PO from parting it out.

Maybe thats what was done. I've been reluctant to hook it back up for fear of coolant going everywhere inside the car. I do not see nay evidence of leakage.

Maybe I'll just try to flow some water through it to see what comes out and see if there are any losses.

Thanks
