I am following the torque guidance in the Alfa TSB below. Reinz head gasket will be used. This engine will sit for probably a year after I put it together. I assume I only do the first step below (to 58 ft/lb) and then proceed to the warm torque after install in the car...even though it'll be a year or so later. Correct?

Thanks.

Alfa specs for head torque are too low. And the primary reason for gasket failure and oil leaks.
Torque should be 70 lbft cold and if ran hard at high rpms 75 lbft.

I think the lube will be ok. That stuff is gooey and stay in place. Alfa had whole assembled engines crated and stored as replacements when needed, so imagine they used a similar super gooey lube.
