Would like to check head bolt torque on new to me Spider. Is 52 fl lbs correct?

I have an Alfa Romeo factory manual and the cylinder head torque is 45 foot pounds for 750/101 series and 50 foot pounds for 105 series engines.

Ah, ok thank you.
My engine is a 1600 out of a 105 I think.

It was suggested to me to torque the heads when engine is hot but I'm no expert. Does that sound right?

The cylinder head torque for a 105 1600 is 50 foot pounds and should be torqued when the engine is cold. I always torque the engine after running the engine 500 miles.

Be sure to follow a pattern starting in the muddle and working out going diagnolly across the head.

I dont crack them loose first but others may. Might be worth some current feedback.
