Hello!

I am looking for a set of wheels to fit an '83 GTV6.

I don't care for the stock wheels, and prefer something more in the style of the old TRX rims (but without the odd tire size!).

The attached pic would be my "dream wheels" ... but I am not sure exactly of the brand/size, or if they would fit. (I would be willing to have the hubs machined if that is all they need ... but I have heard differing reports about offset, etc.)

If you have a source or something other than Campy's sitting around, drop me a line!

Check out Charlie DiMarco's site -- Serpent Auto Sport for some excellent examples of wheels for GTV6.

I've been told that these 16"X 6.5 rims from a 156 ALFA will work on a GTV6. Maybe a little snug lock-to-lock, within the wheel wells? But perhaps a slightly smaller outer tire diameter could ease that concern. Do some more research before you take this as gospel, of course.

In my estimation, these are almost as attractive as the TRX 'phone dials' I actually prefer the TRX style a touch more. But considering this design is NOT metric... I'm hot on these. These look only a tiny bit out of place on a GTV6 body. Almost a little too modern for the 1980s body style, but I could quickly get used to that.

Since ALFA will be in our front yards again, soon... you might be able to source these thru a FIAT/Chrysler dealer... We'll if you like actually like this design.

If not thru a FIAT dealer, you may have to check in Europe for used ones.

Let me know if anyone finds used ones at a decent price. I may be in the market too.
