For those who need/want a speedo/tach repair and are looking for someone competent and price competitive to Palo and the PA gang, try Foreign Speedometer in San Diego on University Ave. They do a lot of mail order work (the majority of their business) and are old-school, nice people. I had both the speedo and tach redone, clean, lube, etc done on my GTV for $275, in my case they only needed to replace one part-- the frame, $18. Turnaround is about 4 weeks. If no parts needed it would have been $125 for the speedo and $120 for the tach.

I asked them if I could post this and they said yeah, the Italian/French Veglia instruments can be harder to get parts for and a little tricky. They also do the Jaeger spider ones as well as later model electronic ones.
