I am prepping a 1969 GTV for paint and would like to remove the door exterior horizontal trim, which is held on by three screws. Access to the center screw is blocked by the glass. The regulator is the scissors type. How can I get the glass out of the way?
Remove the three fasteners that secure the scissors portion of the regulator to the door. Then gently lower the scissors (and the window) to the bottom of the door. If there still isn't clearance to remove the trim screw, slowly turn the window winder to lower the glass some more.
