I would really like to reproduce/buy/borrow, etc. an original seat for the GTAm, 1532307.
This is the one with the outside tubular frame and fiberglass shell.
Is there such item available?

Hi Alberto,

2 years ago I found the reproduction of those seats in Padua, the price was moderate and you could get also as additional theheadrest in the same style.
Included I send some photographs, I need to find the business card on the producer, you can send me an pm

Many thanks in advance,

We have started making the seats. Attached is an original, then the mould.

Will post more, after the frame is attached. This is going to be a great reproduction.

The material, any idea where I can find it? I have a lead in Germany, but not quite certain.

Thanks Alberto, another fine reproduction. Will there be slots for modern belts 5/6 point
Jim
Thank you Jim!

You know, I never thought about slots, as you really have to be a maniac
from the the 'past', to race with these seats.
So I figured regular 4 point would make do. Can certainly make them, though...

They look fantastic, primitive, really made to have a nut sit in it and race like a Madman
to save a few lbs.. Of course, only a roll bar goes with it, and maybe a 'polo'

It will be fun making them:smile2:

Keep watching...

Nice reproduction Alberto.

I drove a GTAm with original seats few years ago.

The memory that I have is that the seat is short, nothing is adjustable of course and the driving position is not really comfortable.

And the seats have been set aside to install more current and comfortable seats for race.

(But original seat was like that at the era of Autodelta :smile2:)

just my 2 ct

I have raced a Sprint Zagato and a GTA with original Autodelta seats. My advice : don't do it. One seat collapsed after a medium-to- severe impact and it was luck that a more serious injury was avoided. Go for something simple like a Sparco Junior which fits both cars OK. I am all for originality but sometimes your own safety should come first.

Hello Nick,

You are absolutely right, just as using 40 year old 'original' Dunlop Racing tyres, but for static display,
nothing beats the original stuff. Imagine a 33/2 with Sparco seats? No way...

People that are interested in originality, as I am, will want nothing but that.

Glad to see that this effort is proceeding ;)

If the seats will be as nice as the airboxes they will be great ... you may have to make them rougher so they look like real Autodelta.

BTW, if you are not seriously racing and want to use a 6-point belt you can use a wrap around type and wrap around the front seat mounts and use with your 4-point harness. Good for exhibition type driving anyway ... at least for me ... YMMV ...
