Thanks for the piece of advise 🧐

I came back a week ago. Although there are some cities locked up, moving around Italy is not forbidden as far as I am aware.

Finally, just to add a little piece, France, Belgium and other countries in Europe are toughening their measures.
Pointing Italy is IMHO a laughable twist as travelling within Europe is so easy and positif cases are discovered every day in ALL the countries affected by this epidemic.

Are they not fighting in Australia for toilet papers? 😔

I hope that you get my point.

I wish all the people affected strength and courage!

I personally don't think we should be 'moving around' at the moment. We all need to do our bit to prevent the spread of this thing. Might not kill us but we might give it to somebody not as healthy ... :(

There is plenty of time for GTA/GTAm research later

And yes im confused about the toilet paper thing too

Dear Pete,

i am not promoting the spread of the disease and therefore I thought you would understand that travelling in and out of Italy and around Europe for that matter was not the point of my post...

if you looked at the date I posted this message, you could understand that I was there when NO one and I mean nobody disclosed the extent of what was really happening m. As a matter of fact this has shown the total lack of foresightedness by the politicians in charge of the health in all the countries concerned. This was known since December.. not the full extent but it was known that China was going through a sanitary crisis since December.

not that I feel the need to justify my presence in Italy but I was not there to “visit” GTA shops. It was a business trip 😔 I wanted to check those shops while I was there...

Food for thoughts : on Monday the 24 th of February, France politicians said that there was no risk, you could go on with you life. On the 26th,they turned around and suggested that handshaking was not appropriate... I am sorry but to me this tells a lot with regards to how it was handled

anyhow, let’s no take this subforum into a covid-19 debate!

once again all my thoughts to those affected

Completely agree with you.

And yes missed the date of your post. Did you manage to see anything interesting while in Italy?

Dear Pete,

I’d like to add just this. Italy is a beautiful place and Italians are very nice people.

with regards to the alfaBB community, it is filled with wonderful people who taught me so much about the brand and some specific models, and technical aspects of the cars.

there are so much value added to the brand and this community has always been of tremendous help with questions I have asked regarding specific models, history and technical aspects of the cars.
The timing for this thread may not have been appropriate, the reactions I have had may even be more inappropriate.

My apologies to anyone who may have been shocked by my position on the situation and the way I came off regarding this. I just can’t stand the way Italy has been stigmatised as the situation is global.

this forum is fuelled with passionate people! I thank all of you who have contributed to the wealth of knowledge shared around.

lastly, let me just wish all the affected person the best. Let’s just drop this thread in the history of the BB.
live to the fullest, live to the Alfest!

Hi ladilas

Perfectly reasonable request, and won't comment on issues...

Times change, about 40 years ago, AutoDelta recommended a small shop in Canegrate, Angelo Chiapparini for a small problem I had.... He subsequently looked after all my cars for many years, but sadly passed away in a dreadful accident.

With Angelini's shop closing in Rome, I know of no-one in Italy specializing in GTA/GTAms but there must be many....

So, despite living in Italy a bit, I use the UK!

No apology required and unlike a very small few, most of us don't want to build walls, and are hoping and praying for our fellow Earthlings

Caro Pete,

vivi al massimo, vivi fino all'Alfest!

Bongiorno,

Matteo

Sorry for the late response.
There is AFRA outside Milan if you are able to get to it.
People are very nice and they allowed us to walk through their warehouse when I was there.
My brother limped along because of a sprained ankle!

The original poster already in Italy posted 29 days ago and left Italy 23 days ago without any useful help from this thread. Now it is side tracked. Just saying
