Hey Ken,

thanks for the pics but can you check your reference as I think the TA appeared first at Mt Tremblant in 1968. In 1967 the event at Lime Rock was on May 30, 1967, some 9 days after Sunday May 21, 1967. One wonders about the SCCA running a TA on Memorial Day.

Maybe this pic was at a regional event at Mt Tremblant, a warm up for the TA for these guys.

I have seen #90 used in other pics and in fact Gus Andrey and Bill Taylor entered a #90 at the Lime Rock TA in 1967 and were DNF.

Ciao

Ken

Ken,
The web site is autocourse.ca.
"Grâce à notre collaborateur, Yves St-Jean, nous vous offrons de revivre une partie de la saison 1967 du circuit Mont-Tremblant avec plus de 300 photos d'archives relatant les épreuves du championnat Canadien de voitures sports, de Production et de Formule sans oublier la première visite de la série Trans-Am comme épreuve de démonstration..."

Based on my inexact translation it was a "demonstration race" (non championship). I've attached the results.

Yes, it was a race under TransAm rules (O2/U2), but it did not count to the championship. However I am not sure about the name Bill Taylor: Bill, Del, Del Russo or Bill Del Russo Taylor? The other guy should name Robert "Bob" Pratt

The web site lists #4 as Harry Theodoracoupolis and # 6 as H. Kwech. And can I see a yellow # 93 of Midley behind?

#6 looks to be an RHD GTA and if the pic is properly attibuted, then Kwech must have resurected this GTA from ??? Is it one of the GTA's he used in 1967 ? ( edit: #6 is Ed Wachs 1972 livery)

Kwech does not show up in the Results so he must have been a DNS. What happened to his Blue GTV #3?

Ciao

Hey Martin,

the official SCCA result for this race lists Shaw-Midgley on Alfa Romeo GTA not GTV. Do you have other information. You reference a photo?

Would the yellow car shown behind the #6 Kwech car be the blue 93 GTA Roman Tucker is racing these days?

Midgley GTV

I guess the yellow Midgley car is that one, which he raced at Laguna Seca 1972.

Vehicle Car Classic car Family car Fiat 125

It seems that all his races with GTA #613217 are listed on its left rear window

1972 IMSA - round 10

Look at the very last line; Midgely in 1972 at Daytona with a GTAm?

:)
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactley am i lokking for in the last line?
Someone suggested this head # 10532 01500-00 comes from a tz? any info?
Alfa-Sport,
Thanks for posting the Daytona results. Talked to my friend Bob Beasley who confirmed that he finished both 1st & 4th in GTU at that race, but lost the GTU championship that year by either 1/2 or 1 point as he didn't go to 2 of the races. Must have been a pretty busy guy that weekend. He sold his '73 RSR and currently races 750cc motorcycles.
