I have most of the rubber grommet from my 65 Veloce Spider for the approximately 80 mm hole below the radiator drain spigot and am considering reproducing this part, likely in polypropylene for those wanting this part.

I do not know what the unit cost might be, but wanted to solicit interest in such a part.

Please advise if interested.

Thanks.

It was not a grommit. It was a straight piece of black "U" rubber wrapped around the hole with the ends butted together, not glued. I've several originals.

It's actually about 10+mm wide on both sides of the grove and not in any parts book I have seen. Frankly, it's just a convenient trap for dirt to get under it and combined with water.... well, you know what happens.

Porsche 911's have a rubber grommet inside the headlight bucket that is a poor design. It traps insects and road dust= Rust. Ever notice why most Porsche owners are fanatics when they disassemble their cars to clean them?

OK. So does anyone have a source for this rubber part?
