Hello, I just purchased a 69 Spider which is totally original. Unfortunately, it does not have the glovebox key. I can open the glovebox door fine but was wondering

1) how can I get a key to the glovebox?

2) is it possible to put the little black pull tab on without having the key (I ordered one of the black tabs already)..

Thanks much.. This is all new to me and just trying to sort out odds and ends

If you have a door key, take the glovebox door to a locksmith and he can likely rekey it to use your existing key.

Or if you're a bit handy, it's not too tough to take the lock apart and do it yourself. I've done this on a few Alfa locks and generally I've been able to rekey the lock myself by swapping leaves around (Alfa only used a few sizes of leaves in the locks.) Sometimes I've had to leave one leaf out to get it to work but that's not really much of a security risk.
