Hello. After searching all the threads, nobody seems to have said what gauge, or thickness, steel was originally used in the sills, only what they are using. Could someone please tell me. My sills aren't in a good state to measure.
Thank-you

I have always heard and even measured up on my ´62 1600 Spider 0,75 mm, but you can use 1 mm too, or even thicker if you wish, there´s no Bible on this one.....

I make mine out of 18 Gauge (0.0478 in). I have a sheet metal shop bend up the blanks as my slop roll is too short for a full rocker. This usually requires some english wheel work to fix the radius for a perfect fit. The ends are made using a shrinker and hammer and dolly.

Pictures show fitting a rocker on a '58 Veloce Spider.
