There is an ad in the parts section of the December 2014 Alfa Owner by a fellow who is trying to determine interest in a run of Giulietta front grills. He does not use computers or email and has had little response. I did call him and think that this project would be worth considering.

If anyone is interested please review the ad and contact Don Singer at310.990.9587.

I have talked to him also, I suggested that he may want to become computer literate in todays world if he wants to sell parts. But I do think he's serious and onto something. Correctly stamped and finished brass grills would be a nice addition to the parts available.

Don contacted me early on with this project, as I to have limited runs of speciality itams made for my own Alfa work and customers. His cost's beat all others out there, with an item that could be repaired if damaged, like the early Giulietta brass grills. I signed up for several to increase my stock of just 2 brass originals. It seems that someone like Joe Cabb at Centerline, or IAP, would be interested, even if they resold a quanity.
I did this with Chicago Seals, 30 years ago with an order for 500 speciality Ferrari 275 transaxle seals. These were dimensionally odd, (xx.5mm) and no longer availableat the time. Except for 20, I sold the rest to the 2 major USA Ferrari dealers in the USA. Today, you can still buy MY seals from Ferrari in Italy, in Ferrari packages of 2. Each has my initials cast in it!
These REAL grills would be a boon to Alfa restorers. Just my opinion as usual.

I have dealt with Don in the past, he's an interesting older guy, not doing it for the money from what I can tell. He has his plane hangar stuffed full of Alfa junk, I'd call him a nut hobbyist like many of us. I wouldn't hold it against him that he's not setting up a website or whatever.

I wouldn't underestimate the difficulty and cost of this. I looked into casting Giulia Super lower grille "hearts" and gave up when the five-figure estimates starting rolling in. That was before 3D printing.

Does anybody know if the grills are for a sprint or a spider? And a 750 or 101?

I am in need of a pair of front grills for my 750 interim Giulietta Sprint Veloce (101 body)

Thank you

Spider only I believe. 750 and 101.
