The folks at GingerMan Raceway have opened the new track extension and will host an open track weekend July 3 and 4.
The Windy City BMW chapter held a driver's school at GingerMan last weekend and the consensus among both instructors and students was that the track flows much better through the new Turn 10a, and the longer back straight and faster Turn 11 make a fun track better. GingerMan added new curbing and runoff area work continues.

Open Track weekend at GingerMan Raceway's newly expanded 2.21 mile road course located just 6 miles from the Lake Michigan shore in South Haven, MI.
Bring the family for the July 4th parade at 11 a.m. in downtown South Haven and enjoy fireworks over Lake Michigan at dusk after driving at GingerMan Raceway.
Experience the new GingerMan track extension featuring new turn 10a, a much faster and smoother turn 11 and a much longer back straight.*
The schedule:
Saturday July 3rd, 2010 - for CARS, open wheel racers and coupes/sedans
8:45am MANDATORY Drivers Meeting
9:00am - 12:00 p.m. Three groups will rotate in 20 minute sessions
12:00-1:00pm Lunch
1:00-5:00pm*Three groups will rotate in 20 minute sessions
Sunday July 4th, 2010 - For BIKES and CARS,*open wheel racers and coupes/sedans
7:45am MANDATORY Drivers Meeting
8:00am - 10:00pm Three groups will rotate in 20 minute sessions
10:00am-12:00pm Lunch
12:00-5:00pm Three groups will rotate in 20 minute sessions, track closes at 5 p.m.
$150.00 FOR A FULL DAY
SIGN UP FOR BOTH DAYS ONLY $250.00
Note: Driving instructors (Alfa Club, PCA, BMWCCA, NASA, Audi club, MCSCC, TrackDaze, or other national organization) coaching a registered driver may drive in different, higher group at 50 percent discount.
Novice drivers welcome with instructor in-car for all sessions, intermediate and advanced drivers may be signed off following their instructor's check ride(s).
