Tim,

WOSP in the UK make them, and are available from a number of sources, e.g. here. The designs seem tried and tested but I can make no personal recommendation.

Hope this helps,

Alex.

WOSP starter

I have a WOSP fitted in my 2600 works fine, they are based in Aylesbury in Bucks UK and clearly know what they are doing - also do alternators disguised as generators

gear reduction starter

Thanks for all the help.
I used the folks at WOSP in England and now have a great starting Alfa 1900 Farina coupe.

Way to go ABB! I remember seeing Tim's beautiful 1900 at the TN AROC National Convention in 2004. It was there along with the Greene's, green, white and red Vignale and our blue Two Liter Roadster, among many others.

I finally purchased my starter from CCW-TOOLS in England, They were very helpful and patient.
